Biography

CBF_2178_BW

I live on a sheep and cattle property with my husband in the south west of Victoria. We have two children who have grown up and moved on, giving me time to indulge my creative desires. As a science and maths teacher since 2002, I have a keen interest in the intersection between Art, Science and Maths.

My work is often inspired by the great diversity of living organisms and the ecological relationships between species. I also like to explore unusual perspectives, such as aerial views, microscopic images and changes over millennia. Currently I am exploring woodgrain printing, combining prints of timber rounds with linocuts of birds and marsupials that require tree hollows for shelter and reproduction. I hope you enjoy my work.
